Commitment to Our Employees,
Community, and the Environment

Commitment to Current and Future Employees

Cook Street believes that diversity of academic background, professional experience, socio-economic background, gender, race, and overall perspective are integral to the success of our organization. We are dedicated to the principles of equal employment opportunity in any term, condition, or privilege of employment. We do not discriminate against applicants or employees on the basis of age, race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual identity, religion, or disability. We continuously seek to promote an environment where all employees are treated with dignity and respect and greatly value the contributions made by our diverse group of employees to serve our clients throughout the United States and Canada.

Our firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee oversees Cook Street’s DEI initiatives including unconscious bias training, focus area surveys, a college scholarship program for underrepresented groups in the finance industry, internal education, external volunteer opportunities, and reviews of Cook Street’s hiring process.

Commitment to our Community and the Environment

Cook Street promotes volunteer and financial initiatives intended to improve the communities in which we and our clients work.  A match program is in place to incentivize employee donations to non-profits, and employees are encouraged to participate in firm-wide volunteer days.  Our commitment to this area is a reflection of our leadership’s belief in holistic employee development and the betterment of society.

Cook Street believes that environmental sustainability is important, and that individuals and organizations should consider the needs of future generations in addition to their own.  That’s why we plant two trees for every one consumed as part of our printing process and discourage the use of plastic water bottles and other forms of waste in our office.
